Representatives from Autorite de Regulation des Telecommunications visited KISDI

President Lee is exchanging greetings with Mr. Feneyrol.

Mr. Michael Feneyrol and other officials of Autorite de Regulation des Telecommunications visited KISDI on September 9, 2004. The latest visit was part of their schedule to participate in the 2007 ITU Telecom Conference, which was held in Pusan, Korea on September 6, 2004.

Before the visit to KISDI, the French representatives asked KISDI questions about the Korean telecoms industry such as issues of broadband network strategy, mobile service expansion, fixed-mobile convergence, and regulations through the French Embassy in Korea. The French officials had in-depth discussion on various issues with KISDI researchers.

Mr. Feneyrol highly valued the rapid advancement of the Korean telecoms industry. He said, "I was very impressed by KISDI's role in the development of the Korean telecoms industry. I want to learn a lesson from KISDI and apply the lesson to developing telecoms policy in France."

KISDI president John H. Lee introduced the French representatives organizational structure and research areas of KISDI and explained KISDI's contribution to Korea's telecoms policy making process.
