The Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI) held the KISDI Colloquium in the Meeting Room on the 2nd floor of the KISDI building on May 14.
The KISDI Colloquium was held to discuss the importance of government regulations and policy directions in building the big data for precision medicine.
Professor Seong Ju-heon of Seoul National University lectured on the current status of Precision Medicine Initiative in the US, precision medicine and big data, and cases of applying the deep learning technology in the session titled “The concept, status, and challenge of precision medicine.” He explained that the impact of precision medicine on society and economy would increase through the convergence with ICT such as big data and AI.
KISDI plans to continue holding colloquiums to strengthen the capacity of researchers in fields related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution and to identify the appropriate policies in a timely manner.
