The Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI, Acting President Kim Jung-un) will host the "12th Korea Media Panel Academic Conference" at the EL Tower in Yangjae-dong on September 26.
The Korea Media Panel Academic Conference, initiated in 2010, provides raw data from the Korea Media Panel Survey to academia, research institutions, industry, and policymakers, facilitating the sharing of research outcomes.
This twelfth conference showcases findings from a national-approved statistical survey that has been conducted annually since 2010. Now in its fifteenth year, the survey tracks long-term changes in media consumption by households and individuals within Korea’s rapidly evolving media environment. This is the only media panel survey in Korea that studies changes in media usage among the same households and individuals over time, and the accumulated data serves as valuable research material for both domestic and international researchers studying broadcasting and media.
At this academic conference, a total of 16 papers will be presented, including 13 general papers and 3 award-winning graduate student papers. Researchers from fields such as media studies, economics, technology management, and statistics will participate in presentations and discussions, presenting empirical research results that address diverse perspectives and topics in the media field.
The presentations will be divided into five paper sessions: ▲ Media and Family ▲ Exploring Media Consumption ▲ Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence ▲ Media Usage and Panel Data Survey/Analysis Methodology ▲ Presentation of Outstanding Graduate Student Papers.
General public attendees can participate in the event via online live streaming. The live stream will be conducted through 'https://mediapanel.mlive.kr/login.php'.
