KISDI and Chung-Ang University signed an MOU for cooperation on convergence research and academic exchanges in the field of medical science and information/communication at Chung-Ang University on Monday, September 4.

With this MOU, KISDI, a policy leader in the information/communication and broadcasting sector, and Chung-Ang University, which is currently transforming itself into a research- oriented university, have decided to join forces on ▲social resource surveys using big data,
▲national-level research, ▲medical research using information, and communication usage. Furthermore, the two organizations have agreed to collaborate with medical school faculties and researchers and share panel and cohort data related to health, sports, and medical care.

The MOU signing ceremony was attended by President Kyoung-Yul Bae, Director of the ICT Data Science Research Division Yong-Chan Jung, and Director of Strategy and Planning Jong-Gyu Kim from KISDI, and President Sang-Gyu Park, Executive Vice President for Medicine Chang-Gwon Hong, Dean of the College of Medicine Mi-Gyung Kim, Professor Chang-Won Lim, and Professor Se-Young Lee from Chung-Ang University.

With the rapid acceleration of digital transformation, the importance of data has increased accordingly, as has the importance of convergence research with other fields such as ICT, bio, and defense. It is expected that data sharing and research cooperation between the two organizations will lead not only to increased data sharing and utilization, but also to the revitalization of the data economy.
