The Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI, President Kwon Ho-yeol) held the “5th KISDI Open Academy in 2020” in the seminar room on the 3rd floor of the KISDI building on November 20.

At this KISDI open academy, Park Yang-soo, Director of the Bank of Korea Economic Statistics Bureau, was invited to hold a lecture on “Explanation of Economic Statistics Indicators” to promote understanding of the Korean economy through economic indicators.

Director Park began by explaining major economic statistics such as monetary finance, national income, balance of payments, and inflation, and went on to explain how to use economic indicators to read the economy or to utilize in real life, thus providing an ideal opportunity to improve the audience’s understanding and utilization of major economic statistics.

From 2020, KISDI plans to continue holding the Open Academy to respond proactively to economic and social changes and identify new policies.
