Ko Sang-won, Senior Fellow of the Department of Development Cooperation Research, delivered a presentation titled “Digital New Deal: Health Related Aspects” at the “Nordic Talks Korea: COVID-19 and Health Tech” hosted by the four Nordic embassies in Korea (Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden) at the Oil Tank Culture Park in Mapo-gu, Seoul, as well as via online live broadcasting, on Oct. 23 at 7pm.

 

At this live talk event, Ko Sang-won introduced investments in the creation of a DNA ecosystem and the fostering of the non-face-to-face market related to the health care sector among other industries of Korea's digital new deal, and discussed the prospects for Korea’s telemedicine market ecosystem. Online presentations and discussions were given by: Lim Young-yi, Head of the Health Service Innovation Team, Korea Health Industry Development Institute(KHIDI); Trine Radmann, Head of International Relations, Norway Health Tech; Paivi Sillanaukee, Ambassador of Health and Welfare of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland; Hans Erik Henriksen, CEO of Health Care Denmark; and Daniel Persson, Head of Innovation and Partnership, Min Doctor, Sweden's first digital caregiving service.

This talk event, broadcast online for 2 hours and 20 minutes, was intended to introduce cases of the COVID-19 response and medical technology innovation in Northern Europe, and to introduce Korea's digital new deal and digital medical policy to Northern Europe.
