Lee Jong-won, head of the Broadcasting & Media Research Division of KISDI, was appointed as a member of the “8th Self-Evaluation Committee” on Wednesday, July 29.

The self-assessment committee is composed of 13 private members and 1 internal member (Secretary General of the Korea Communications Commission) with extensive expertise and experience in performance management, public service evaluation, and broadcasting and communications-related affairs, in accordance with The Framework Act on Public Service Evaluation and the Operational Rules for the Self-Evaluation Committee of the Korea Communications Commission. The committee will conduct evaluations of the major policy issues of the Korea Communications Commission over the next two years.

Chairman Han Sang-hyuk of the KCC said, "I hope that you will help boost our capabilities for performance management by raising issues with the KCC's major policies and proposing improvement measures from a supportive point of view."

The committee’s members include: Lee Jong-won, a division head of KISDI; Lawyer Jeong Kyung-Oh of the Lin Law Firm; Cheon Hye-sun, head of the Media Management Center of the Future Media Institute; Choi Jeong-il, Professor of Business Administration, Soongsil University; Yoon, Ji-Woong, Professor of Public Administration, Kyung Hee University; Kang Myung-Hyun, Professor of Media & Information, Hallym University; Kim Pyeong-ho, Professor of Communication, Dankook University; Hwang Yong-Seok, Professor of Media Communications, Konkuk University; Lawyer Ahn Jung-ho at Kim & Chang; Lawyer Jang Joon-young at SEJONG LEGAL; and Choi Kyung-jin, Professor of Law at Gachon University.
