Chinese SRPA Representatives Visited KISDI

SRPA representatives are listening to the introduction on the KISDI.

Scientific Research and Planning Academy of the State Post Bureau representatives headed by Director Guangtian Li visited KISDI on June 7, 2004. They came to Korea to attend the 9th Korea-China Postal Study Exchange and Cooperation Seminar.

The SRPA was established in 1994 under the State Post Bureau. It is composed of the Soft Science Research Center and several companies commercializing research outcomes.

KISDI and the SRPA have held two seminars every year since they signed the memorandum of understanding on March 2, 2000.

SRPA representatives were welcomed by Dr. Yong Cheol Kim and other researchers of the Strategic Research Group. After listening to introduction on KIDI, they toured KISDI facilities including a library and a gym and had a conversion with President John H. Lee and Vice President Sung Baik Oh.

SRPA delegations are scheduled to visit Korea Post and Seoul Regional Communications Office and attend the seminar on Postal Business Management Assessment System and The Present and Future of Postal Insurance on Cheju island.

KISDI President Lee said, "It is encouraging that Korea and China have been actively pursuing postal research exchanges. I hope that KISDI and the SRPA will strengthen their ties through collaborative researches as well as seminars."
