The Center for International Cooperation Research of the Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI) held the kick-off meeting for the invited consultation of the 2023 ICT Technology Policy Cooperation Project (Mongolian Broadcasting and Media Technology and Policy) in the second-floor video conference room of KISDI (Jincheon, Chungbuk) at 10 AM on Monday, September 18.

The invited consultation, held from September 17 (Sun.) to September 23 (Sat), 2023, was part of the technical cooperation and policy advisory activities in the fields of Mongolian broadcasting and media. It was attended by eight broadcasting and media sector officials, including Ms. Byambasuren Erdenee, Director General of the Mongolian Ministry of Digital Development, and experts from the Mongolian Communications Regulatory Commission (CRC). During the program, the Mongolian delegation visited the related organizations to experience firsthand the current state of broadcasting and media systems in Korea and to share knowledge and experience at a series of seminars.

At the kick-off meeting, Director Sangwon Ko welcomed the Mongolian delegation and expressed his hope that the project would present an opportunity for both countries to enhance their understanding of broadcasting and media technology and policy fields and jointly consider strategies in the related areas.

During the invited consultation period, the Mongolian delegation visited and participated in seminars at the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), Korea Broadcasting Corporation (KBS), Korea Education and Broadcasting Corporation (EBS), Global Knowledge Exchange and Development Center (GKED), Korea Radio Promotion Association (RAPA), and ICT-related organizations. In the future, reports will be prepared, and the final workshop will be held by systematically reflecting the main issues raised by the invited consultation.
