■ Invitation
With the launch of digital terrestrial television service
during the last month, we enter the new era of digital broadcasting.
Digital broadcasting promises the viewers high quality audio/video
and interactive services, with which television is expected to be
transformed from a simple entertainment medium to a sophisticated
multimedia home platform.
To celebrate the launch of digital broadcasting, KISDI and KSJCS
have jointly organized the international conference, "the Future
of Digital Television." Distinguished speakers from the United
States, the United Kingdom and Korea are invited to share the experiences
of foreign countries and to discuss the key policy and industry
issues in the brave new era.
We sincerely hope that this conference will provide a valuable
forum for all the participants to share their ideas on the challenges
of the future of digital television.
